I found out I was going to be a father when my girlfriend, love of my life, my lover, showed up for the annual DragonCon<\/a> dinner Friday night at Trader Vic’s<\/a>\u00a0hosted by one of my oldest friends. When she arrived, I went outside to meet her so I could lead her to the back where we where seated and she told me she had something to tell me. I should also mention she was wearing one of my Boston Bruin’s t-shirts as I learned later in an attempt to calm me.<\/p>\n

Not sure what the first thing was I thought, But I do remember once my brain stopped its quick spin I had this un-expected thought of happiness and a whole new world of possibilities and adventures opened up. I found I was excited about this more than I thought I would be.<\/p>\n

When I was growing up I wrongfully accused my dad of being the old “dad”. He was 30 when I was born, Now here I am having my first child at 48. I wonder if he is getting a good laugh out of this, Good nature of course. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Maybe I found a new use for this site and can work out loud how I do with being a parent.<\/p>\n
