This has been annoying me since I started to use a mac as my desktop instead of Linux/Compiz. I wanted my IM client to always be on whatever desktop I was moving too. With Linux/Compiz I could just “Pin” a window and it would stick and be on whatever desktop I was viewing.

Every time I tried to do any combo search on sticky windows, desktop, OS X, Leopard w/ and w/o Snow, always visiable, I would end up w/ a bunch of links to some old program for 10.3 that is dead on 10.5+ it seems. Very annoying.

Today I found you could do this via the Application -> System Preferences -> Expose & Spaces. There you can select applications and which desktop(s) you want them to stick too.

This might not be not worthy… Or maybe it has been added since 10.6.1 when I got started w/ my Mac, I am mostly just posting this to hopefully give some other person a chance to find the solution outside of the old Application that floods Google search results.
